Tough Calls
December 10, 2020
Sometimes, the line separating church and state is not always a clear one...
This AMERICAN ATHEIST MAGAZINE poll takes a look at several current issues
which test the limits, and our understanding of, the First Amendment.
A couple involve current news items, while another deals with a case now
before the U.S. Supreme Court examing the right of communities to limit which
groups may have access to meeting space in their local public schools.
Some of the questions we
ask involve, well, "tough choices." We all know that a statue of Jesus has
no proper place in a public building; but what about depictions of ancient
deities which some say promote paganism?
The poll is now closed.
